The London Calling line-up continues to grow. Today we’re adding nine new artists to the bill, bringing even more exciting sounds from Australia, the UK, Canada and the US. From jangly indie and dreamy guitar pop to art punk, post-punk and shoegaze, here’s the latest wave of artists heading to Amsterdam this November.
Swapmeet arrive from South Australia with fuzzy guitars, jangly melodies and a healthy love of ’90s alternative. Brooklyn duo Victoryland combine adventurous indie pop with off-kilter guitars, electronics and irresistibly catchy songwriting.
From the UK, Tokyo Tea Room bring their dreamy, atmospheric indie pop, while Sandhouse blur grunge, trip-hop, psychedelia and alt-pop into something hazy, hook-filled and made for late nights.
Montréal collective La Sécurité return with their infectious mix of art punk, new wave and danceable post-punk, while fellow New Yorkers bloodsports channel restless guitars, sharp melodies and tightly wound energy into their debut album ‘Anything Can Be A Hammer’.
Nineteen-year-old Raynor has quickly made a name for himself with warm indie pop, an unmistakable voice and hooks that feel instantly familiar. KatzPascale take a more experimental route, combining cello, saxophone, looping pedals and voice into immersive, emotionally charged performances. Newcastle duo lots of hands complete today’s announcement with wistful indie folk, shimmering electronics and songs that quietly linger.
These nine artists join an already stacked line-up featuring Angine de Poitrine, Arima Ederra, Cardinals, Cola, Fiona-Lee, Keiyaa, Momo Boyd, Mouth Ulcers, My First Time, No Cigar, Robber Robber, Sports, Ulrika Spacek, Zzzahara and Zoh Amba, with more names still to come.
