Ratboys are back with ‘The Window’, their most adventurous album yet. Recorded in Seattle with the legendary Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie, Tegan and Sara), this album blends Midwestern indie rock with an Americana twist. The band’s first fully collaborative effort, it’s a sonic rollercoaster, jumping from fuzzy power pop to warm country twang to wistful folk. It’s also their most personal release, with frontwoman Julia Steiner drawing on themes of love, grief, and connection. After a decade together, ‘The Window’ captures Ratboys as they’ve always meant to sound: bold, tender, and united.
