Brooklyn’s Psymon Spine crafts a mesmerizing fusion of psychedelic pop and dance grooves, offering an accessible yet intricately textured sonic experience. Core members Noah Prebish and Peter Spears, inspired by Talking Heads and Os Mutantes, formed the band in college, aiming for experimental accessibility. Joined by keyboardist/producer Brother Michael, they birthed their debut, 2017’s ‘You Are Coming to My Birthday.’ Singer Sabine Holler, formerly of Barrie, later joined the ensemble. Psymon Spine’s sound delves into left-field electronic realms, from disco’s rhythmic bursts to early techno’s builds, stamping their mark on past influences with loopy surprises and lush synth work.
