The Kooks dat is vooral heel veel haar. Zanger/gitarist Luke Pritchard en leadgitarist Hugh Harris hebben de lokken nonchalant voor de ogen hangen. Ze zijn piepjong. En ze zijn verdomd goed. Elk liedje dat ze inzetten wordt direct herkend en uit volle borst meegezongen. Die liedjes zijn onweerstaanbaar catchy.
