Formed on the cusp of a global pandemic in early 2020, Dublin’s Gurriers emerged in 2021 with their own instinctive take on post-punk, noise rock and shoegaze, bending it all into new, transcendent and eminently danceable shapes. Made up of five best friends, roommates and co-workers Dan Hoff, Emmet White, Ben O’Neill, Mark MacCormack and Pierce Callaghan, Gurriers are very much the real deal. Releasing three home recordings along the way, the band made a noisy entrance onto the live scene when coming out of lockdown in 2021, playing a few shows including opening spots for Goat Girl and Enola Gay along with a sold-out headline at The Workmans. They knocked it out of the park with their performance at London Calling last year – we can’t wait to do it all over again.
