Avery Friedman is Brooklyn’s indie pop overachiever via Cleveland. Since her first show in July 2023, she’s been a monthly fixture on NY stages, recording her debut album ‘New Thing’. The result explores trauma and queerness with the raw honesty of Adrianne Lenker or Squirrel Flower. It launched with a sold-out Union Pool show and earned praise from NPR to BBC. Now she’s sharing stages with the likes of Speedy Ortiz and Matt Quinn.
