Haute & Freddy are the brainchild of Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp, a duo whose sound sits somewhere between 18th-century theatre and underground club culture. Moving like runaway carnies through a landscape of obscure synths, they have built a devoted following known as the Royal Court. It is a scene where fans show up in jester hats and handmade crowns, far removed from the usual pop polish. With their debut album Big Disgrace arriving this March via Atlantic Records, the duo offers an audacious energy that feels both surreal and entirely immediate.
